Trinity Elementary School third-graders are learning area and perimeter with the use of ozobots. After identifying shapes and measuring perimeter, students coded these mini robots for speed and special movements. This science, technology, engineering and math (STEM) activity engaged students in real-life technology connected to math standards. In English Language Arts, students designed and coded a path for the ozobot to travel. Using their creative-writing skills, students wrote stories about the adventures of their ozobots on the path. Another class used the ozobots to create and code a timeline for the biography unit of study. These activities helped all learners develop vital computer science skills for the future!
