Parents of children currently homeschooled in the City School District of New Rochelle who wish to continue homeschooling in the 2023-2024 school year or parents who would like to begin homeschooling in the 2023-2024 school year are asked to forward all compliance documents to Office of Homeschooling via email to ccoletti@nredlearn.org .
According to the New York State Education Department Commissioner’s Regulations Part 110.10, the items listed below must be submitted each year by the following dates:

Beginning July 1, or 14 days following the beginning of home instruction | Letter of Intent or within 14 days of beginning home instruction |
August 15+, 2023 | Individualized Home Instruction Plan (IHIP) submitted |
November 15, 2023 | Quarterly Report #1 |
January 31, 2024 | Quarterly Report #2 |
April 15, 2024 | Quarterly Report #3 |
June 30, 2024 | Quarterly Report #4 & Annual Assessment |
Once the Letter of Intent is received, you will receive a copy of the Commissioner’s Regulations and blank templates for the Individual Home Instruction Plan and for the Quarterly Reports.
The following is an example of an acceptable Letter of Intent:
Dear Dr. Coletti:
We (I) intend to homeschool (child/children’s names) for the 2023-2024 school year. Thank you for your anticipated response to this letter.
