Kindergarten teachers at Daniel Webster Elementary School, led by Literacy Coach Jennifer Meyer and Principal Melissa Passarelli, completed a successful week-long literacy residency in teacher Jill Friedman's kindergarten classroom.
Together with other Webster kindergarten teachers, Amy Cosentino, Patti Perykasz, and Sabrina Lopez, they planned, set goals and facilitated a cohesive and student-centered curriculum. This professional learning opportunity was invaluable; it created cohesiveness and supported the teachers in making instructional choices that will unify how the kindergarten team delivers literacy instruction.
