Daniel Webster Elementary School is located in the northwest region of the city and is best known for its identity as an Arts and Humanities School, which was originally envisioned as a Magnet School in 1982. Webster is committed to fostering an understanding of the humanities and to providing students with exposure to all forms of art. Programs include ten weeks of Studio Arts, Spanish language instruction, dance and theater residencies. There is a belief that integrating visual and performing arts into the school experience develops well rounded, creative, learners and leaders. There are 494 students in grades K-5, 294 of who live in the school zone. Other than students who are in the District-wide Kaleidoscope Program, the remainder of the student body gains entry through a lottery. Webster fosters a inclusive, supportive and nurturing school environment.
